Photon-counting CT system launched by Canon in April 2026 as Japan's first domestically produced photon-counting CT. It uses a cadmium zinc telluride (CZT) photon-counting detector with deep learning reconstruction and an adapted X-ray tube to provide spectral imaging for material differentiation. The gantry rotates in as little as 0.24 seconds, and the INSTINX workflow with gantry cameras automates patient positioning.
