Abierto PACS is an all-in-one picture archiving and communication system from Canon Medical Systems that manages DICOM images, video data and general files on a single server. It includes a patient portal showing examination history in chronological order, configurable storage management with automatic deletion rules and re-compression of older studies, and image referencing and report creation across affiliated hospitals. A unified viewer gives radiology and clinical departments the same functions, including MPR and curved MPR, and can display results from the separately purchased Abierto Reading Support Solution. The reporting function offers customizable layouts, hyperlinks from findings to key images, read-confirmation management and follow-up lists, for use by hospital imaging and clinical staff.
